Creamy Spiced Fruit Dip

Makes 2 1/2 cups
6oz white chocolate, chopped fine
1 cup heavy cream, divided
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, room temperature
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 Tablespoon ground nutmeg
Melt the white chocolate with 1/2 cup cream in a heat proof bowl over a pot of gently simmering water stirring constantly. As soon as it is smooth take of the heat and set aside to cool until just barely warm to the touch. Beat the rest of the cream (1/2 cup) and the cream cheese with the cinnamon and nutmeg until creamy and slightly fluffy. Gently fold the white chocolate mixture into cream cheese mixture. This dip, with its rich fall flavors, is perfect for dipping apples and pears, but try it with pecans, walnuts, and even pretzels.
